the WORLD of Nightmare
Nightmare will be releasing a new single on October 18th. Entitled the WORLD/Alumina, this single features the upcoming OP/END themes for the anime DEATH NOTE and episodes featuring the themes start airing in Japan on October 3rd. This single will come in three types, each with a different DEATH NOTE-related illustrated jacket as well as a DVD featuring the PV for each song.

Anyway, there is a glimpse of the second Death Note movie, called “Death Note: The Last Name”, up on youtube.

CHEERS FOR DEATH NOTE!

Three Cheers for the official release of the Death Note movie in japan!!! Yay (three non-cheers for those of us who aren’t there to see it :P).
I have been silently updating dg.org for a while now, I um… added like some character summaries and then um finished volume 1’s manga summaries, and some other odd things I cant quite remember. To be quite frank, Ive just been sorta busy with the-oro (it was just cause I sorta ignored it for the last 2 months cause of this site, and my inbox came to 70), to really get anything done, but um dg.org’s inbox is empty after all :O and I did update the fanarts and everything as well *nods*. I wonder if I should skin this site so I can make a new layout!!
Arggg I was gonna go get the Death Note Movie Guide but it seems like fate is working against me.

Movie News Galore + LYRICS

First of all, here is a music video from one of the songs from Death Note Tribute album (Manatsu no yo no yume- Midsummer Night’s Dream by Sukao Siga), it’s nice to watch since it features some Death Note movie previews, like L making his hands in shape of guns XD: (links are now broken)
The following information has kindly been related (and somewhat paraphrased) by Rei:
Death Note movie will be put on the screen in eight countries in Asia.
This has already been decided in Hongkong, Taiwan, Thai and Korea. Also it will be on screened in Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore, too. (The release date is not known yet.)
The movie will be released in about fifteen countries other than Japan.
In Taiwan, Golden Harvest will ditribute this movie.
They say it’s very unusual that a movie whose preview hasn’t held yet gets such many offers. Now buyers in Germany, France, Italy and other countries have begun to negotiating over showing in their countries. Finally over fifty film ditributing companies have offered at Cannes Iinternational Film Festival. A lot more countries are asking Nippon TV to distribute in their own countries as well.
The reason of high popularity is that the movie keeps an accurate atmosphere of the original comic.

As for the contents of the movie, the story is somewhat changed, for example, as you know, there’s an original character only for the movie, Shiori. The director Shusuke Kaneko says “I think to make a story different from the original is another way to show respect for the original.”
According to a rumor,(I couldn’t find out where this news is from.) part1 (Light vs. L) will be divided into two. (So there will be no Near nor Mello in the movie.)
Personally, I guess there’s some probability that L doesn’t die at the end of the second movie…Anyway, Light needs to be beat to bring the story to an end. (This is my wish, though.)
