Is there any possible way to get Kuro Hana’s Death Note Episode 35? I missed my chance to get it… and I was wondering if anyone had any way for me to get my hands on it? Too much to ask, perhaps?

Update: The quality is okay, the sound is a bit low and the sub isn’t perfect in the timing either but still “okay”.

@Zank, you can use .srt files by giving them the same file name as the avi you want to watch it with (except for the extension, which should be .srt, and put it in the same folder, i think), and then just open the avi and it should work, at least with windows mediaplayer it works.

Anyway, its great someone decided to sub this one, I was getting hopeless fearing I’d have to miss out on the last 2 eps.

someone subbed it, its in mininova. the subber is ruberia and quick’n'dirty (which supposedly stole the sub from ruberia). ruberia’s in a private tracker though

Just put the file in the same folder as the movie with the same exact name, and play it using VLC media player. I think its supposed to work on Windows Media Player but VLC media player will work.

And I’m glad I was able to help. I think I’m gonna sub episode 37. Is that the last one?

I concur. That episode right there proves that Death Note is one of the best shows out there and shouldn’t be lumped with Naruto and Bleach in terms of storyline!!! I know Naruto is good but it’s a slow storyline and everyone’s raving about Bleach…but I’d rather stay away from the latter lol. I say this only because all the over-the-top, obsessed, nerdy anime freaks at my school watch mainly only Death Note, Naruto, and Bleach and everyone assumes that if you watch one, you watch the other 2 as well. It’s weird.

The next episode would probably be much bigger if I didnt go about finishing the manga… though, one cant blame me, the manga just did everything better, haha. But, I hope its still enjoyable!

OH! I’ve been meaning to ask this question. And i feel this is the best place to do so. What is the best group who did the second Death Note movie? I have only found bad fansubs of it… and I really want to get a good translation or at least the best out there at this point in time. Thanks a bunch to anyone who can point me in the right direction! (I was kinda waiting on Kuro-hana to do it, but I doubt its going to get done now…)

Errors? I recall seeing an error in grammar and saying “soon” instead of “seen.” Were there errors in translation? I’m a native Japanese speaker so I thought I had it right. I’ll check it out to see what you changed :-D.

Well I noticed a thing that many many people translate wrongly. But I’m being nit-pick but “yokoyari ga hairimashitaga” does not mean “I know I’m interfering.” It means “there has been an interference.” That interference being Mello. Near’s not interfering. :-D. Just being nit pick that I noticed lots of subbers/translators of the manga did. Or maybe my whole family is the wrong one (which I doubt).

and Aizawa says “the murder note” not “the death note” :-D. Oh well. Different people have different interpretations. I’m still gonna sub the last episode haha.

yah I found more things I disagree on but I’ll be fine. The other sub did it this way too for a lot of the things I disagreed on. It won’t change the storyline so its fine :-P.

Well, I tried to do my best. I’m not a native Japanese speaker, but some things were well translated, but they didn’t “sound right”. I tried to address those issues. Anyway, is there a chance we can work on the next episode together? You do the translating and I do some suggestions and timing fixes. How about that?

I’ll assist as well in anyway possible for the final episode (adding the intro and outro lyrics scripts), and correcting timing. Although, I too aren’t a native Japanese speaker, but I can assist in editing the grammar and sentence structure.

Of course! Any chance you guys have AIM? And what time area do you guys live in? I’m in pacific time of USA. AIM or google talk would be much quicker and easier to do. I’m not very fast at subbing either (I don’t know how fast you can actually go) but the last one took me like two hours :-P.
