Taking a Poll about this news page
May 18th, 2007
So basically, I need to take a quick poll from those of you who visit the news page. I am gonna either keep it in correspondance with this site, or split it into its own subdomain. If its in its own subdomain it will load about 90% times faster, easier to access, and so people looking for death note info wont be slowing down the loading speeds, as you can see, this site is MAJORLY lagging to a point where Im majorly annoyed too, so basically its this:
a) Do you want the news/updates to remain on the main fansite site so you have the sidemenu and can navigate everything at once
b) You want to move it to its own subdomain: news.deathgod.org, and have it go super fast loading speeds and basically Ill just link back to the fansite version whenever something new comes out.

I haven’t really experienced any lag on the site, myself, but if that’s a problem to other people, then I guess I’m okay with option (b).

I haven’t either, but I would also agree with option b if it is going to make things easier.

Well, it hard to say but I only watch the main page with the updates and news (I watched once the other stuff but that was all). In my opinion you should keep the site as it’s now (you’re doing a great work guys ;)), there’s a lot of DN pages worth information but none with so fresh news.

B!!!
Oy, when I was updating the fanart section last night, I liked to check the site to make sure they worked fine… and I swear, it took three times longer than it should have to get through all of them >_

I’ll take option b. News having it’s own domain sound like a good idea.
It also “sounds” like a good idea.

Well, I haven’t experienced any lag, but, sure! If other people are lagging, then I suppose we should go with option B! ^^ Odd that I’m not lagging, though, considering I have Dial-Up! XD

I would do B…
BUT: just copy the html for the sidebar and make them links to the main server so we can’t tell the difference. Also, the main would have a link to the news of course XD.
So if that can’t happen then A…

Just like what some other people have said, I haven’t experienced any lag either, but if option B could make it easier for you and other people who experience the lag, go for it. ^^

I say B, it’ll make things easier for everyone.
But it’s really your decision~.
- Pookie. May 18th, 2007 at 8:37 pm
I’ll join the 90% of the news page’s population in saying I also haven’t experienced any lag or any slow-down either.
But then I never visit anything but the news page.
If it makes people happy go for option B.
I don’t mind either way…
(first and probably last post here, yay!)

Well, I’ve been visiting this News section pretty much, so I think that the [b]-option is better. Even though it doesn’t lag here, but if it helps some other people, maybe it would be better.

Option B
- YÅmi. May 19th, 2007 at 7:33 am
So, uh, unless, like, 20 people come here at one time and scream “OMFG DO A LOL!11!”, then I guess we’ve got option B! ^^

Oh! Holy crap this looks great! I love the new news. Great job Shaza.

I believe I’m the only one that likes better option A… hahahaha.
